I am the companion of a 10-year old Golden Retriever (Obie), who has undergone four surgeries over the past two years at Silver Sands Veterinary Hospital. One of the surgeries was urgent/immediate in nature and Obie was a new patient. The staff and Dr. Deforge made my experience less stressful and I was confident that my dog was in the "best hands" during the surgery and initial recovery process.

The staff has always been attentive to the details and follow-ups from surgery, testing and check-ups and I always got prompt answers to any questions I had form the Dr. D.

The staff has a commitment to providing a caring, concerned and relaxed atmosphere, that allows most dogs to be calm through the exam/follow-up experience.

According to Obie, Silver Sands Veterinary Hospital has the best and healthiest dog treats.

Obie runs to the front door and puts his front paws on the reception desk and gives everyone a smile.

I wish to extend to you my most profound gratitude and endless appreciation for the unequalled and unsurpassed care and treatment of, and concern for my 2 chocolate labradors, Fred and Ginger, both licensed and certified service and therapy dogs. The titanium canine tooth that Freddie has been sporting for 6 years has served him well, and has made him unforgettable to all he has visited. More recently, Ginger has recovered magnificently from the 2 excised molars which you so delicately removed.

If only human care were as thorough, compassionate, and expert as you give to your four legged patients!!!! Your doctrine of keeping the patient free of pain works miracles both for the animal as well as for the owner....... Your follow up calls, letters, and emails reaffirm your commitment to excellence, and to the ultimate completion of the healing process.

I would not only recommend without reservation your hospital to any prospective patient, but would outright urge anyone who understands the rarity of absolute professionalism in this world of mediocrity to employ your services. Anyone who thinks that your services are "expensive" could have no idea whatsoever how expensive a lesser surgeon and hospital could be.
